Here is the FINAL production of this wonderful creation i loved working on.

Here is the script for the commercial that we started out with. I came up with the words and the idea of making this commercial to help the company. I believe so much in this company and the work that they are doing to help kids. I know when i was in these kids' positions i wanted to be able to get out of my normal habits while in the hospital and i needed something to do. BayKids is a wonderful company and would love any help they can get in making these kids dreams come true!

This holiday season do some good and get to know some awesome children. For one reason or another, these kids are stuck in a hospital this season. You are an important person in these children’s lives because by your help to buy new tools and materials, these kids can open a creative door and express who they are and share their special talents with the world and other kids like them.

As you noticed this logo appears on all these videos. This logo belongs to BayKids. B.K. is a non profit co. that goes around the bay area children hospitals. These children are introduced to BK so that they can have an outlet to help them learn techniques that help them grow and express. These wonderful children get to think, create, edit, and help out with the entire process of producing their videos.

The equipment that is currently being used is outdated and limited. BK has potential for great and marvelous things, but they can’t do it alone. They need your help to make these kids shine.

Surprise a child today by donating to BK and help these children in need, learn to grow as they share their stories to strengthen other children as well.

1. I didn’t know that you could make a bar code that would be related to your own pages. I thought that was really neat that you could do that and make your-self better advertised. I am all for doing that and getting my name out there in the world for people to know about me.

2. I also think it is cool that I-phones can connect to the codes and read them as well, anywhere. I guess you could say I am not so into the technology world and what it is capable of.

3. Mobile browsing on a phone is pretty cool and the fact that you can adjust your page to work better for people to view your page that way is interesting.

4. More of a question, How can a bar code have the connection to a webpage or something like that, from a piece of paper?

5. With this new technology I think it will spread fast through-out the business community. Yesterday my husband and I went to the store and I saw these bar codes and I told him about it and what could be done with them. It is fascinating.

2. I like that it’s relatively easy and made dummy proof for people who aren’t as tech savvy.

4. I like that it lets you know of things that might even be related to the topic of your resume. It gives you a chance to spread out and let yourself grow.

5. I like that it gives tips on the top of the page for things to do in helping you get a job.

1. I like that you can search the page for specific topics in helping you to write papers.

2. I like that it has the different tabs for different types of people to search through and research what most applies to them.

3. I like that it has a news feed you can follow if you choose, so that you can learn better by example of other people.

4. I like how organized the page is. I like that it has different sections like the MLA, ape, and owl pages for different things like formats, questions, contacting and what not.

5. They give some very useful tips in helping to write papers correctly as well as for resume’s. Something I’ll keep in mind for when I need to write something up next time.

1. I like how it has the three sections up on the top left side for the questions to avoid, questions to use, and the different types of interviews.

2. I like how their site is straight forward and easy to understand.

3. I like that it also tells you how to write a resignation letter to jobs for when you quit your job.

5. I like that they not only provide help for a student who is currently in school and needing financial help but it helps gain information, connections, and help for after graduation when you have joined the work force completely and are starting your career.

1. It has simplicity in the main page and it’s not overpowering you with images and moving items to take your focus away from what you intended on searching for.

2. I like seeing that it has the governments’ involvement in the program, because not many companies show you just how involved it really is and who all has hooks in what goes on with the program.

3. I enjoyed seeing all the different awards that are given to the association and you can see just how serious this program is with getting out there in the community and making a name for themselves.

4. Looking at the other clubs that are connected with the page is cool to see.

5. Diversity in any program is great to have because you can learn more about the other cultures as well as other aspects in life. So having the alumni meeting and working closely with the younger generation is very important as well.

5. There is a travel distance converter and the travel tab would be very helpful for anyone who travels often.

1. I think it is great that you can learn about the different places that the school takes you for your expeditions to learn more about jobs.

· College summit is next week. Thursday must go to 2 sessions, starting at 830 and they are an hour long. The 2pm is the forum. All meetings are in the Taylor building. I have known Brittney for over 4 years, I am the Library Media Technician at Mt. Eden High School and she was a student. She started coming into the library with her friend to volunteer in the mornings. Her friend stopped volunteering but Brittney continued. She became a valuable asset to me and the running of the library. I counted on her to be there to help me each morning and found her to be a very dependable young lady always arriving with a smile to start the day. Brittney was a wonderful volunteer taking on each task given with enthusiasm.

It was a very sad day when Brittney told me of her cancer yet she continued to come to the library until she was unable to attend school. She is a very special young lady who has had to endure many challenges in her short life but has always had a positive outlook and sees only the best in life. She is truly a remarkable young lady, always thinking of others; even as she was in the hospital recovering she was assisting the younger patients in the hospital to make them feel less afraid. She is a very giving person always putting others first.

Brittney is devoted to her church and now her new husband. She will surely do well in life and the paths that she takes in the years to come. If given a chance, Brittney will impress you with her work ethics and her positive personality; she will not disappoint you if given the opportunity to join your organization.

As manager of the Seagull Bookstore in Oakland, CA, I had the pleasure of working with Brittney Stone Long. I first met Brittney when she applied for a position as sales associate in our store in 2008.

I was immediately impressed by Brittney's professional, yet open and friendly, demeanor. As we talked, it was apparent that she has superior customer service and communication skills and a strong work ethic. I had recently let an employee go due to an utter lack of those qualities, and I was very anxious not to have that experience again. I'm happy to say that Brittney met and exceeded my expectations. To begin with, Brittney is a hard worker. I never had to remind her to use her time well while on the clock. If she was not helping a customer, she was straightening the shelves, cleaning, or stocking shelves with new merchandise. She used her artistic talent to create appealing displays, and she took personal pride in the welcoming appearance of the store. Secondly, Brittney was extremely good with customers. She quickly became familiar with our products and was able to answer customers' questions and help them find what they needed. She was able to balance being friendly with maintaining an appropriate professional attitude. In addition, Brittney was willing to take on any assignment and complete it quickly and well. One example that sticks out in my memory was a task that everyone (including me) loathed. We sold sterling silver rings, which were in an open display that customers had full access to. This display required constant attention, because customers rarely put the rings back in the right place. After trying a rotating system of maintenance -- each employee taking a turn -- I asked Brittney to take it on as a regular responsibility. She cheerfully accepted the assignment. I expected her to take a day or two to get the display back in good order, but she accomplished the task in an hour or two. And she kept the display in order! Brittney was always willing to do what was asked of her, always willing to contribute ideas for improving our store and always dependable. I never had to worry about her being on time, or representing our company well when she was at work. During our time together at work, Brittney and I became very good friends, and our friendship has continued. I was delighted to attend her wedding in September.

I enthusiastically recommend Brittney to any prospective employer. She is a thoroughly delightful person -- intelligent, insightful and willing to roll up her sleeves and get the job done.

Intro to Communications

What did you learn from the speakers about communication? Most of the stuff that was discussed in the first meeting that I went to, I already knew from things that had been discussed in classes, as well as going to workshops for jobs back at home. He mentioned a lot though that with networking, that is how you get most of your jobs. Telling us a story about how he just up and left home one week and moved to Idaho to sleep on his friends couch till he found a job in SLC. It requires dedication trying to find a job. He would drive every day to and from SLC to Rexburg until he was able to find that job that he just loved. He shared with us that there was a lot of communication skills he uses while working for the church and helping with building management and all the different building owned by the church that need to be built or updated for more room.

How can I apply that knowledge as a student, parent, church leader? By being a student I can network and make friends to help do homework with, hang out and do fun activites with as well. As a parent I can use the skills of editing in programs, networking, and communication by doing PTA or doing crafty digital projects to advertise a school carnival for my children. Being a church leader I can use the skills I learn of networking and help others by being a part of relief society to help by learning who needs help and giving that information to the appropriate person. I can use my skills of creating to give a really awesome visual lesson. When road shows are being done I can use those skills to direct, lead and inspire. Things I learned from the second meeting which was the forum was, that the church is a natural network system for people to use the talents of others around them to help creative ideas flow in a group setting. If you have an author in your ward you can talk to them about how to get yourself started and you can do that with anyone as well.
